Its a jungle out there. And we’re not talking the concrete variety. We’re talking the Amazon reconstituted in your local bookstore. Cut through the foliage (or folios) as Mini-et-Moi reviews In the Jungle by Benedicte-Guettier.
New Mummy: A fantastic and imaginative book that will inspire even the most wary of parents. Great for that afternoon lapse in imagination and energy. Brightly illustrated with a cut-out for each animal’s face, hold the book up and peep through the hole to transform yourself into a roaring, smiling, laughing 3D animal, making your little tiger squeal with delight.
New Baby: This is my favourite book. You should see the ridiculous look on the faces of my new parents when they do the animal impersonations. With this kind of entertainment on hand, who needs an Xbox? When my mummy looks really exhausted I give her a thrill by poking my face through the cut outs. (I swear she gets more enjoyment out of it than I do.)
Surviving those desperate hours - that’s the law of your new jungle.
Available at good book shops and at that largest of online jungles, Amazon.
